New smartphone here means any 4G/5G enabled smartphone or IMEI which has not been part of Vi network for last 6 months.

An IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity is a unique 14 or 15 digit serial number given to every mobile phone which can then be used to check information such as the phone's Country of Origin, the Manufacturer and it's Model Number.

To check whether your smartphone is eligible for recharge discount, visit any nearest Vi stores or retail outlet.

  • Dial *#06# in your keypad
  • The screen displayed will show you the IMEI numbers of your current device as well as the Serial Number (S/N).

You can check smartphone eligibility by sending an SMS mentioning IMEI of SIM Slot in which you will/have inserted your Vi sim.

The Vi Smartphone Program is available for Vi prepaid subscribers only.

Within 30 days of upgrading to a new smartphone, it is mandatory to do a hero recharge of ₹299 & above from any channel i.e. Vi App/ payment wallets, online or any existing Vi retailer/stores anywhere in India. All New Vi customer with eligible handset who has already done the First Hero recharge of Rs299 & above need not to recharge again.

To avail ₹100 monthly recharge discount coupon, you need to do recharge on or before 30days from the date of inserting Vi Sim in the new smartphone.

All Vi Customers will be given a 30 days window to do a Hero recharge of ₹299/- & above after upgrading on New smartphone.

For avoidance of doubt, any customer will be eligible for ₹100 monthly recharge discount only if he/she recharges on or before 30days from the date of inserting Vi Sim in the new smartphone. 

Additionally, for both existing and new Vi prepaid customers with eligible smartphone and have already done their recharge with any Hero Unlimited Pack of ₹299 or above upto 7days before inserting Vi SIM in new smartphone are also eligible for the recharge discount coupon need not to recharge again

Yes all existing prepaid customers need to recharge again with any Vi Hero Unlimited pack of ₹299/- & above after upgrading on New smartphone within 30 days window. Please note, the remaining validity of the previous pack will be added to the new pack validity.

New customers who are eligible for the smartphone program & have already done their first recharge of ₹299 & above need not recharge again.

All eligible customers will receive Rs100 recharge discount coupon every month within 48 hours of their recharge.

Eligible customer needs to download Vi App and do a hero recharge of ₹299/- & above unlimited recharges to avail the monthly cashback coupon of ₹100/- for next 24 months.

The ₹100 cashback coupon will be auto-applied on eligible Vi Hero recharge packs.

Every monthly recharge discount coupon you receive will expire after 30 days from the date of credit in your Vi App account. 

Recharge discount coupon of ₹100 will be applicable only on Vi Hero recharge packs. Customers need to recharge only through Vi app with any of the Vi Hero packs to avail the ₹100 coupon.

All subsequent Vi Hero recharges of ₹299 & above needs to be done only on Vi App to avail the ₹100 monthly recharge discount coupon benefit every month for 24 months.

The ₹100 monthly recharge discount coupon will be credited every month for 24 months with validity of each coupon of 30 days. To redeem all 24 discount coupons, you need to recharge every month on Vi App. If you do a Hero recharge with pack validity of more than 30 days and only redeems the cashback coupons at the time of pack expiry, in such scenario you will not be able to avail all 24 coupons.

Yes, the recharge discount coupon under the Vi Smartphone Program will apply only until you continue with the same smartphone IMEI & Vi mobile number.

The Offer can be availed only once using the same New 4G/5G Handset or IMEI.

Also, you need to be on the same smartphone IMEI and Mobile number combination to get the recharge discount coupon of ₹100/- benefit every month.

If you insert Vi SIM in any other smartphone or change SIM slot in the same smartphone and if it changes the smartphone IMEI and mobile number combination, then you will be disqualified from the program and will stop getting monthly recharge discount coupons.

In case your smartphone is replaced, damage or lost and hence you insert your Vi SIM in any another handset, you will be disqualified for the program for rest of the months.

Before issuing ₹100 monthly recharge discount coupon in your account, we will check for every 30days, whether your smartphone IMEI and mobile number combination remains same as during the time of eligibility.

The offer can be availed only once on an eligible Vi prepaid number.

If the eligible customer who has already availed the offer, and changes his/her smartphone, the customer will be disqualified from the program.

The first recharge discount coupon will be credited on Vi App in My coupons section within 48 hours of hero recharge of ₹299 and above.
