Vi Business Secures Bronze for the ReadyForNext Campaign at ET DigiPlus Awards
Every year, the ETBrandEquity.com India DigiPlus Awards celebrate the dynamism of the digital marketing world by recognising outstanding achievements by brands and campaigns across a wide range of sectors. The 6th edition continued this tradition by showcasing the best of digital marketing and advertising in India. Among the proud winners this year was Vi Business. We were awarded the prestigious Bronze in the B2B category for our #ReadyForNext campaign for MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) empowerment.

Addressing MSME Challenges in a Competitive Market
MSMEs form the backbone of India's economy and contribute significantly to GDP and employment. However, while there is an awareness of the need to digitalise, MSMEs face a number of challenges, including:
• Overwhelming market options: Many providers offer specialised digital solutions, which can create confusion.
• Technical jargon: Complex terminology makes it difficult for MSMEs to evaluate technologies.
• Prioritisation challenges: MSMEs are unclear on what investments are truly core to their digital transformation.
In this context, the MSME segment has become very competitive, with both domestic and global players entering the market. However, most of the solutions available in the market focus on selling individual products, not a holistic solution to address the needs of MSMEs in terms of digitalisation. This presented an opportunity for Vi Business to step in with a consultative and value-driven approach.
The #ReadyForNext Campaign: A Consultative Approach
That is why we designed the India’s largest digital advisory for MSMEs called the #ReadyForNext campaign to make the journey of MSMEs to digitalisation simpler, not overwhelming. Our objective was to empower MSMEs with the proper tools, knowledge, and actionable steps, speaking precisely to the needs of our MSME constituents.
Key Elements of the Campaign
1.#ReadyForNext Digital Assessment:
This new tool allowed MSMEs to evaluate their digital readiness with the help of a basic self-assessment test. This year, for the first time we also launched the Hindi version of the tool.Participants received a customised report with a comprehensive Digital Readiness Score based on three critical parameters:
• Digital customers: Readiness to serve customers digitally.
• Digital workspace: Adaptability to evolving workplace dynamics.
• Digital business: Adoption of cutting-edge technologies for business transformation.
The report even included actionable suggestions, enabling MSMEs to identify the gaps and thus work on areas for improvement.
2. India's Largest MSME Growth Insights Study 2.0:
Covering 1.8 lakh MSMEs in 16 sectors, this report provided industry-specific benchmarks and valuable insights to help MSMEs remain competitive at all times amidst the evolving digital landscape.
3. Strategic Partnerships:
• In association with Dun & Bradstreet in designing the #ReadyForNext assessment.
• Partnership with PayU in offering bespoke digital payment solutions.
4. Engaging Business Influencers:
Business influencers created down-to-earth, insight-driven content on the urgency and relevance of #ReadyForNext. This personalised communication helped to earn trust and credibility among MSME owners.
Delivering Results That Matter
• Creating Awareness: We reached MSME owners with precision by running targeted digital marketing campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, and Google Search. Further, the power of influencer collaborations amplified our message and ensured it reached the right people.
• Driving Conversions: With the dual benefit of the #ReadyForNext digital assessment and the MSME Growth Insights Study, we empowered MSMEs to make informed decisions. This consultative approach ensured that MSMEs didn't just explore digital solutions but actually engaged with them, resulting in over 8,000 high-quality leads.
Why We Stood Out?
• Empowering MSMEs through knowledge: We changed the conversation from selling to enabling by training MSMEs to ask the right questions and critically review solutions. That way, they would be empowered to take control of their digital journey.
• Tailor-made, industry-specific insights: The #ReadyForNext assessment also provided industry-specific, tailored reports with actionable insights for each participant, outlining their unique challenges and opportunities.
• Building urgency and relevance: Inclusion of industry benchmarks in our study created a sense of urgency among MSMEs, which prompted them to prioritise digitalisation in areas critical for their growth.
