Any subscriber can switch from one network to another using the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) facility. Users need to request the MNP with the respective telecom network operator. The MNP process involves several steps, such as MNP request, Unique Porting Code (UPC) generation, and acquiring a new SIM card.

There are few criteria to be fulfilled before one can apply for MNP. Once MNP is requested, it takes 3 to 5 working days to be processed. However, users who wish to withdraw their SIM port request can do so only within 24 hours of applying for MNP.

Type "CANCEL" followed by a space and the ten-digit mobile number for which MNP is sought
Send this SMS to 1900
Users can withdraw porting request within the first 24 hours of applying for MNP
