‘Dekh raha hai Binod, Season 4 aa raha hai’ Yes, you heard that right! Panchayat Season 4 is finally going to be released on 2nd July 2025, on Amazon Prime Video. If the last season was something to go by, it can safely be said that the upcoming episodes would be a perfect concoction of thrills and comfort. Moreover, we can also expect an emergence of new and significant characters in the Panchayat Cast.
With Panchayat Season 4 just around the corner, we thought it was high time we dove into the brilliant Panchayat cast that has made the series such a relatable, heart-warming, and hilarious journey. Trust us, if you’re not already obsessed, you soon will be.
Abhishek Tripathi – Jitendra Kumar
Rinky – Sanvikaa
Manju Devi – Neena Gupta
Brij Bhushan Dubey – Raghubir Yadav
Prahlad Pandey – Faisal Malik
Vikas – Chandan Roy
Vinod – Ashok Pathak
Bhushan Sharma – Durgesh Kumar
Kranti Devi – Sunita Rajwar
Chandrakishore Singh (Vidhayak Ji) – Pankaj Jha
Ganesh – Aasif Khan
Saansad (Member of Parliament) – Swanand Kirkire
The protagonist and Gram Sachiv (village secretary) of Phulera. Abhishek (Avisek?) is a city boy thrust into rural administration, reluctantly at first, but gradually finds purpose and connection with the people around him. His sarcasm, practicality, and growth arc form the emotional core of the series. Also, it remains to be seen whether he finally achieves his MBA aspirations or not!
Daughter of Manju Devi and Brij Bhushan Dubey. Quiet, laid-back, and independent, Rinky gradually emerges as a potential love interest for Abhishek. Though she’s not the most vocal when compared to the rest of the Panchayat Cast, her presence has grown significantly, and fans are keen to see her role expand in Season 4.
The official Pradhan (village head), although her husband mostly takes the reins. Initially uninterested in administrative duties, Manju Devi shows increasing confidence and leadership over time, offering a sharp blend of tradition and evolving empowerment.
Manju Devi’s husband and the de facto leader of Phulera. Pradhan Ji is wise, politically savvy, and deeply respected. He often offers guidance to Abhishek and navigates village matters with a unique blend of old-school charm, modern understanding, and lauki!
Deputy Pradhan and a close friend of Sachiv Ji, Pradhan Ji and Vikas. Prahlad’s character, especially in Season 3, takes a more emotional turn as he deals with personal loss. Loyal, thoughtful, and deeply human, he adds emotional depth to the story.
Abhishek’s ever-helpful office assistant and friend. Vikas brings light-heartedness to the show with his innocent outlook and genuine concern for others. He often acts as the bridge between Abhishek and the villagers.
A recurring village character who often pops up with comic timing. Vinod might be a background character, but he adds to the authenticity of village life and often delivers small but memorable moments.
The show’s most vocal and comical troublemaker. Bhushan sees himself as a political rival to Pradhan Ji and never misses a chance to stir drama. Often referred to as “Banrakas”, Bhushan is loud, stubborn, and unintentionally hilarious, something that makes him a fan favourite amongst all the cast of Panchayat.
Bhushan’s wife and fellow rabble-rouser. Kranti Devi supports her husband’s political aspirations and often joins him in causing chaos. Her eye rolls and arguments are scene-stealers in their own right.
A politically powerful character whose motives are often unclear. As the area’s MLA, he influences major decisions and brings a top-down political presence into the otherwise grassroot show. In the last season, he played a major role in the plot, and while he is shown in a negative light, his final conversation with Sitara was a tearjerker. Did he order the hit on Pradhan Ji? Watch Panchayat Season 4 to find out.
A recurring side character, Damaad Ji is known for some of the most iconic scenes of the series. From claiming his Chakke wala kursi to going to Vidhayak Ji’s compound to “buy” his horse, Ganesh is a quirky personality who is unpredictable, comic, and a fan favourite.
Although we have only seen a cameo of Sansaad Ji in Season 3, it is expected that he will be playing a much more consequential role in Season 4.
Besides these, characters like Bam Bahadur, Parmeshwar, Madhav, Babloo Dabloo, etc., have also played a notable role in making the series what it is.
